Business Broadband

Which Data Service is Best for your Business?

FTTP

Fibre to the premises provides a direct contended fibre link from the exchange to your office. With no copper involved to slow down the process, data will travel much faster (estimated average download speeds of 300Mbps).

SoGEA

SoGEA was created so that consumers can buy a broadband connection without the need for a phone line. Instead, you get a voice service on a SoGEA line although it will need to be an IP-based solution like VoIP.

G.fast

While a typical FTTP ultrafast connection requires a fair amount of additional infrastructure, G.fast uses much of the existing infrastructure, meaning an easier & faster rollout. You’ll still be sending & receiving data over copper wires, but the tech enables data to travel much quicker – think of G.fast as a supercharged FTTC connection.

FTTC

Fibre to the Cabinet is a type of broadband connection that uses a combination of fibre optic cables and copper cables to deliver internet to homes and businesses.  It is a popular choice as it offers faster speeds than traditional ADSL copper-based broadband, but not as fast as with full fibre (FTTP) broadband.

FTTC is a good option for people who want faster broadband speeds without having to pay for the more expensive FTTP option. It is also a good option for people who live in areas where FTTP is not yet available.
